The Downfall is a Boston-based Alternative Rock band originated in Bronxville, New York. They have done shows throughout Russia as well as United States and many more to come. Their unique blend of cultural backgrounds combine to make something uniquely Downfall.

Joe Salvucci and Dan Germain
Dan and Joe met at their children's music class and soon came to realize they had both studied jazz at their respective colleges. Dan a graduate of Berkeley College of Music and Joe of Umass Dartmouth, the two had found common musical ground and were eager to have the chance to play. After just one jam session the world shut down due to the pandemic and it wasn’t for nearly 2 years that the pair had the chance to play again. Germain’s melodic approach to the drum set compliments the simplistic approach of Salvucci on keys. The set being performed are all original compositions by Joe Salvucci and are debuted here at Porchfest Quincy!
