These Two

In 2014, Jay was playing in a band called The Mumblers, and they were in search of a great singer/front person for a New York gig. After auditioning several singers, it was clear that Melinda blew the competition away! She joined for the gig and stayed on to join the band. Jay had been wanting to find a singer to form a duo and it only seemed natural to ask Melinda. They both shared similar musical tastes, but had enough differences to keep things musically exciting and challenging for both. Melinda's background of singing on cruise ships, weddings, classical voice training and pop/jazz sensibilities, combined with Jay's blues/rock influences make an interesting combo that's not afraid to tackle songs from many different genres.

Silverbacks

Gorillas are ground-dwelling, predominantly herbivorous apes that inhabit the forests of central Africa.   Silverbacks are adult male gorillas are known as silverbacks due to the characteristic silver hair on their backs reaching to the hips. They are also a cover band, a power-trio if you will, who likes to play 90's songs you love from the 90's.  Although these guys are getting older, they can still rock.  If you grew up in the 90's you will probably like what you hear here.  Zombies among us may be entering a Midlife Crisis, but we think we are In Bloom, and while we wonder Where Is My Mind, there will be folks like Taylor that aren't Sober, and will be a Passenger home to where they can they Keep On Rockin in the Free World.

Spaces for Two

Spaces For Two began in 2015 when Bob and David met through a posting on Craigslist. Bob had a backlog of songs that he had written but never produced. Luckily for Bob, David had been writing, arranging and recording music for years and they worked up a dozen songs quickly. The original intention was to produce the music and perform as an indie-rock band. Like any project, finding the right members took some time and it wasn’t until 2016 before the band was ready to rock. The first record Gone For The Show captured this side of the band and was met with critical acclaim in early 2017. While the band was in flux, David and Bob produced a handful of tunes without drums and this became Believe released in late 2017. On The Dial was to contain 10 songs and represent a cross section of the previous styles. David and Bob instead decided to release On The Dial as a chronology that documented all songs recorded between 2015 and 2018. When playing live Spaces For Two adjusts their set list, arrangements and instrumentation to fit any venue, whether stripped-down with Bob on acoustic guitar and David on vocals and keys, or as a full-on band. Through the years Spaces For Two has been incredibly fortunate to have many talented members as part of the band, each bringing their own style, influences and collaborative spirit.

The Deep State

the Deep State: Brash, Americana-soaked rock.

The trio — Kenyon King on vocals | guitar, Patti Ripton on bass, Tyler Brown on drums, — tells stories about things we used to do, places we used to know, people we used to be.

the Deep State released their debut LP in spring 2023. The production of the album faced some headwinds: a global pandemic and their favorite recording studio burned down

the Deep State released their acclaimed live EP — Live at 1357 — in fall 2023. In the spirit of their early club days, the songs were recorded live, one take, full bleed. As you read this, the trio is recording their second full-length album.

the Deep State operates out of an undisclosed location in Boston, Massachusetts.
