African Marimba Ensemble

BROOKIMBA! Is The African Marimba Ensemble from The Brooke Charter School in Roslindale Mass. The band is comprised of a small group of hard working middle school musicians led by their director Brian Carey and features high energy African inspired music played on specialized "buzzing" marimbas. Please come join us and celebrate! 

Hands On! Bring a Drum, Bell or Shaker to The World Drumming Clinic/Circle! This will be a community drum clinic/circle open to all kids and adults and rhythmatists at heart. Bring your favorite drum, bell or shaker (or anything else!) and get ready to have fun and explore playing Brazilian Samba and other World Drumming styles. 

The clinic will be presented and directed by Brian Carey, who is the music teacher at The Brooke Charter School in Roslindale Mass. A lifelong percussionist, Brian has over 25 years of music education experience teaching both children and adults. He has also been featured in DRUM! magazine and has toured the country with performances at Red Rocks Amphitheater, The Xfinity Center, Bonnaroo and The Fillmore.

Richie Parsons Band

Quincy resident Richie Parsons is a veteran of the Boston rock scene. He and his band mates bring almost 200 years of rock to the table. His most recent incarnation the Richie Parsons Band plays catchy pop, that can go from melancholy to edgy aggression.

Buckley & Pearson

Buckley & Pearson, an acoustic duo, play original and cover songs steeped in folk-rock and bluegrass. The two local music teachers started collaborating in September '16 and have complied a collection of tunes that both evoke the past and embrace the present. Buckley, mandolin/vocals and Pearson, guitar/vocals have been honing their chops at open mic nights in the greater Boston area and are more than ready to start bringing their music to larger audiences.

Samantha Farrell

Samantha Farrell's ever evolving sound is an intersection of jazz, folk, pop and poetry. Her tone is unique and yet familiar all at once; at times playfully lilting and undulating, other times a sexy murmur, and a raspy declaration.
She picked up guitar as a sophomore at Bowdoin College and immediately started performing her original material for enthusiastic audiences. Upon graduation in 2005, she moved to Los Angeles where she released her first album, 'Spiritus.' Three of the songs were placed on national television shows.
In 2008, she caught the ear of LeRoi Moore, the saxophonist of the Dave Matthews Band, who was in the midst of producing and developing her next album in Charlottesville, VA. In October of 2009, 'Luminous,' was independently released and through word of mouth alone, charted #7 on the national pop iTunes charts.
She has since followed that up with two EPs, 'In Between Stories' (2010) and 'Softly Swooning World' (2013), with her latest album, 'September Sun' (2016), being voted as one of WUMB radio's top 10 albums of 2016. "Samantha Farrell is proving once again that she’s Boston’s best kept secret with her new album September Sun. Her songwriting shines and her voice drips with soul and emotion." (Jess Phaneuf, WUMB)

Anthony Andronico

Anthony has been playing acoutic, classic rock most of his life, and after a few years away from the stage, he's looking forward to returning to Porchfest and local venues. Anthony will perform solo acoustic classic rock from artists suchas The Beatles, James Taylor, Simon and Garfunkel and The Grateful Dead, to name a few of his favorites.

Kelsey Crisostomo

Singer/songwriter located in Worcester Ma. Booking shows in the area and going to as many open mics as she can. You can also find her busking around Cambridge sometimes.

Anna Rae

Anna Rae is musician, writer, event producer, and photographer from Cambridge, MA. Known for lilting melodies and gut-wrenching lyricism, Anna's debut album "Peddler's Wares" and sophomore EP "High Stakes" highlight her signature style of combining melodic bass guitar with soaring vocals: pleading, spare, offering comfort and an honest appraisal.
