Dupree's Diamonds

Dupree's Diamonds is a Massachusetts-based Grateful Dead tribute band jamming mostly on the South Shore. Our desire is to create a fun filled environment with the power of music. We have attempted to capture the art and science of the Dead’s improvisational jam style. Dupree's Diamonds is made up of 5 members that love and enjoy the Grateful Dead's music. Most of us were fortunate enough to see the band in their heyday, and wish to bring what we saw to our audiences.

Watching It Burn

Watching It Burn came together in the summer of 2015, when local Boston area bassist, Matt Goguen, and local Boston area guitarist, Mike Burke decided to get together for a jam. Matt reached out to friend and local Boston area drummer, Tim Norton to sit in on kit. With no expectations, but to have fun, the trio got together and their chemistry was obvious very early on. Within the first month, several songs had been written and many more were in the works. Having all been in several bands prior, they know that finding reliable musicians can be difficult. Burke, having singing experience and having already written a lot of lyrics for most of the songs, stepped up and the three decided that he should front the project.
The three began solidifying the songs they'd written together and within 6 months had enough material to start recording. During mid February, Watching It Burn entered the studio and began laying basic tracks for what would be their debut album. By the end of April, they had recorded 8 songs. Just barely enough material for an Extended Play, they went back to the studio and wrote and recorded 2 more songs to complete the record. The collection of 10 tracks are a body of work that they are very proud of and even the songs that were written in the studio sit well on the album. This is the result of the musicianship, experience and musical camaraderie of 3 seasoned players coming together at just the right time. Give them a listen and you be the judge.

Sweet Wednesday

The sailor and the dancer, the young girl stranded along Route 66 at dusk, the refugees who turn into ravens...Sweet Wednesday's songs spin tales that allow the listener to peek into the human soul in its most intimate and magical moments.

From the moment singer/songwriters Dave Falk and Lisa Housman met, they knew there was a songwriting, performing chemistry at work. Since forming Sweet Wednesday in 2006, the duo has released four albums to critical acclaim, toured extensively as an acoustic duo and with their full band, and been featured on radio and television programs throughout the U.S. and abroad.

In addition to inspiring fans near and far, Sweet Wednesday has been the recipient of several songwriting awards, including First Place in the Great American Song Contest, First Place in the Dallas Songwriting Competition, and Runner-Up in the John Lennon Song Contest.

An accomplished multi-instrumentalist, Dave brings his unique style to the guitar, mandolin, harmonica, banjo, and fiddle, while Lisa sings of long-distance friendships, having a hard day working as a clerk in a bakery in New York City, lost love, and those crazy mermaids you might encounter after being out on the ocean for several days.

Sweet Wednesday’s songs tell wonderful stories, with beauty, humor, and passion. Rock, folk, and americana lovers instantly fall in love with the tunes of these nationally touring troubadours, whose engaging personalities make each listener feel part of a community.

Originally from Boston, Dave Falk and Lisa Housman have toured the country for the past ten years, both as an acoustic duo and with their band.

Lisa Housman sings and plays guitar, and multi-instrumentalist Dave Falk sings and lends his own unique and dazzling style to the guitar, mandolin, harmonica, banjo, and violin.

Awards and honors include First Place in the Great American Song Contest, First Place in the Dallas Songwriting Competition, Runner Up in the John Lennon Song Contest, and many more.

Falk and Housman are joined in full band formation by ace bass player Jose Downes, and amazing drummer Pepe Hidalgo.

“Think about the last time you received an unexpected and totally delightful gift. That’s just how I felt when I heard the music of Sweet Wednesday. You’ll forgive the gushing when you hear the alt-country, folk, roots sound of the Boston-based duo known individually as Dave Falk and Lisa Housman. I didn’t think musicians made music this
addictive anymore.”
